Deputy Minister Appointment - June 21, 2007

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty today announced the following Deputy Minister appointment, effective June 25, 2007:

Marg Rappolt as Deputy Minister of the new Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs. Ms. Rappolt was formerly the Deputy Minister of Health Promotion and Deputy Minister of the Ontario Secretariat for Aboriginal Affairs. She held the positions of Associate Deputy Minister and Acting Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Assistant Deputy Minister, Health, Social and Education Policy in Cabinet Office, and Assistant Deputy Attorney General, Business Policy and Planning in the Ministry of the Attorney General. Her experience includes senior management positions in the Ontario Government's Ministry of Labour and in the Saskatchewan Government's Labour and Employment, Health Planning Bureau and Public Service Commission. Ms. Rappolt holds an honours B.A. in political studies, and a Master of Public Administration from Queen's University.
